Digipak and Poster

Digipak

From researching into existing digipaks and colour schemes associated with our genre we felt that keeping our digipak simple with very minimal variation in colour was the best thing to do. The colour scheme used on our digipak is consistent with that of all other products including the poster and the merchandise. We wanted the front and back cover of our digipak to be minimalistic and didn't want the focus of the product to be on the appearance of our artist. The back cover also has a faint outline of a cross which is to link in with the single 'Take me to church'.

Once again we decided to carry on with the black and white colour scheme to highlight the consistency throughout our products. We decided on a photo where our artist was slightly off-centre as this would allow us plenty of room to input the necessary information yet have the whole image of the artist visible. We again decided that having a link to a church was necessary to link to the single 'Take me to church' and therefore we picked a picture where the artist is leaning on a gravestone.

Prop Moodboard

Emyr Official Website

http://emyrofficial.wix.com/emyrofficial

From our website research we have seen a clear and consistent theme from website to video to logos and merchandise. As well as this when looking at Hozier's official website we noticed a very clear theme with simple colours and easy access. With our own website we wanted to follow this style to match the genre of Alternative. We have also included links to our social networking sites (Facebook and twitter) as these are common features on websites today. they allow more audience participation and will appeal to digital natives in the new generation of the media age.

We also wanted to target our demographic of 16-25 year olds with our colour scheme and easy accessible site.
